THETRAN KOTTAI LEGIYAM

Thetran Kottai Legiyam is classical Siddha medicine in Agasththiyar Paraipooranam-400 and Siddha Vaidhiya Thirattu. It is useful to treat nervous disorders and improves body strength.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Sytrychnos potatorum - a traditional system of medicine, the seeds of Strychnos potatorum Linn. (family: Loganiaceae) are used in the treatment of gonorrhea, leukorrhea, gastropathy, bronchitis, chronic diarrhea, dysentery, renal and vesicle calculi, diabetes, conjunctivitis, scleritis, ulcers, and other eye diseases.

Zingiber officinale -is one of the most widely used natural products consumed as a spice and medicine for treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Piper nigrum -active constituent ''Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Piper longum -  is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors.

Terminalia Chebula -  is used to protect the liver and to treat respiratory conditions, including respiratory tract infections, cough, and sore throat. Terminalia chebula is used for ;

 Emblica Officinalis - is an antioxidant, immune-modulatory, antipyretic, analgesic, cytoprotective, anti-ulcer, immune-modulatory, anti-inflammatory, antitussive, and gastroprotective.

Alpinia calcarata - are shown to possess antibacterial, antifungal, anthelmintic, antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, aphrodisiac, gastroprotective, and antidiabetic activities.

Cuminum cyminum - it is useful to treat indigestion and flatulence and gastritis and ulcers improve immunity.

 It is used to treat fistula, emaciation, leucorrhoea, gonorrhea, anorexia, nervous disorder,

Enbusuram, Asthi Suram, given along with Nagaparpam, in 100 -200mgm does in Kuruthi Ozhugu Moolam [ bleeding piles].

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS; 

Take 5-10 gms with milk or water after food twice daily or as directed by the physician.
