Karisalai Karpa Chooranam is a Classical Siddha medicine it is used to treat jaundice, liver, and spleen disorders. It is a very good immunomodulator.
Role of Ingredients;
Eclipta prostrata - plays a role in the treatment of several diseases, including infectious hepatitis, snake venom poisoning, gastritis, and respiratory diseases such as cough and asthma
Wedelia Chinensis -used in childbirth and in the treatment of bites and stings, fever, and infection. The tonic of the leaves is used in cough and cephalalgia.
Indigofera tinctoria - used to treat a wide range of disorders such as epilepsy, nervous disorders, asthma, bronchitis, fever, stomach pain, liver diseases, kidney and spleen diseases, skin conditions, wounds sores, hemorrhoids, gonorrhea, syphilis, snake bites, etc.
Acalypha Indica - is used across many communities to treat and manage a number of diseases including ganglions, diarrhoea, leprosy, laxative, diuretic gonorrhea, rheumatism ulcers, ringworms, eczema, intestinal worms, boils and swellings, post-partum pains, scabies, and venereal diseases.
Sphaeranthus indicus - is widely used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine to treat vitiated conditions of epilepsy, mental illness, hemicrania, jaundice, hepatopathy, diabetes, leprosy, fever, pectoralgia, cough, gastropathy, hernia, hemorrhoids, helminthiasis, dyspepsia, and skin diseases.
Centella asiatica - treatment of various skin conditions such as leprosy, lupus, varicose ulcers, eczema, psoriasis, diarrhoea, fever, amenorrhea, diseases of the female genitourinary tract, and also for relieving anxiety and improving cognition.
Mollugo cerviana - used to treat fever, stomach ache, jaundice, gout, and rheumatism. It is also used to promote vaginal discharge after childbirth.
Indications :
All kinds of liver disorders such as Kaamaalai or Manjal Kaamalai (jaundice),
Kalleeral maneeral veekkam (enlargement of liver & spleen (Hepato spleenomegaly),
Paandu (anaemia) etc.,
Also beneficial in Siruneeraga nominal (Renopathic conditions).
Excellent Blood Purifier, skin diseases such as Itchyosis, reddish ;
Very good immunomodulator.
Dosage and Adjuvants;
2 to 4 tablets with water after food twice a day or as directed by the physician.
