Shatavari is a special female tonic because it helps women of all age groups to transit through natural phases of life very gracefully. Shatavari roots are very helpful during menstruation because it relieves abdominal cramps and spasms. It strengthens the uterus. During lactation, it stimulates the production of breast milk. Last but not least it also helps women during menopause.
Besides this, Shatavari roots are have been found to be very useful in the treatment and control of diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, cancer, bacterial and fungal infections, oedema, infertility, and depression.

INDICATIONS;
Sataavari legium is useful for moothira erichchal valiyum[ dysurea/painful micturition accompanied by burning sensation], and mooththiram thadai padal [ dropping pf urine].
itis useful for premeham, kurudhiazhal /raththapitham [ internal hemorrhages],
it is useful for kai kaal erichal [ burning sensation in palm and soles],
it is useful for kaamalai [ jaundice], and udal choodu [ excessive bodily heat],
it is useful for vellai [ leucorrhoea] and vettu vilakku kolarugal[ menstrual disorders].
it is useful for karuppai kolarukal[ uterine disorders].
DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;
5 to 10 gms with milk after food twice a day.
