PARANGI PATTAI CHOORANAM;

Parangi Pattai Chooranam is one of the important Siddha classical medicines. The classical evidence of this medicine is available in Siddha's classical textbook Siddhavaidya Thirattu. The main ingredient of this medicine is the China root (Smilax Chinensis). The root is soaked in Thulasi Juice (Sacred Basil Juice), dried, and powdered. An equal quantity of sugar is mixed with the powder to get the final product. Parangipattai Chooranam is very good medicine for leucoderma, venereal diseases, and leprosy. It promotes appetite and gives complexion to the skin. This medicine can be used both internally and externally with goat's milk to reduce black markings in the face due to pimples.

This is very effective in the management of psoriasis. Parangi Pattai Churnam along with Gandhaga Parpam ( A Herbo-mineral classical drug in Siddha) effectively controls skin diseases.

Role of Ingredients;

Smilax Chinensis - are energy tonic, impotence, and seminal disorders, chronic arthritis and secondary and tertiary syphilis, schizophrenia and epilepsy, pemphigus and skin diseases, Ostero-arthritis, leucorrhea or white discharge, relieving joints numbness, diabetes, and excretory system.

Ocimum sanctum -  have been recommended for the treatment of bronchitis, bronchial asthma, malaria, diarrhea, dysentery, skin diseases.

The dose of this medicine is 1-2 grams twice daily with milk, honey, or sugar, or as directed by the physician.
