ASANAVILWADI KERAM;
Asana Vilwadi Keram is an Ayurvedic oil used in the treatment of diseases related eyes, ear and headache. This medicine is formulated based on Kerala Ayurveda principle. It is also known as Asana Vilwadi Keram.
ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;
Yashtimadhu - Glycyrrhiza glabra - is a small perennial herb that has been traditionally used to treat many diseases, such as respiratory disorders, hyperdipsia, epilepsy, fever, sexual debility, paralysis, stomach ulcers, rheumatism, skin diseases, hemorrhagic diseases, and jaundice.
Bilva -Aegle marmelos - possesses antidiarrhoeal, antimicrobial, antiviral, radioprotective, anticancer, chemopreventive, antipyretic, ulcer healing, antigenotoxic, diuretic, antifertility and anti-inflammatory properties, which help it to play role in prevention.
Asana – Pterocarpus marsupium - heart wood, leaves, flowers and bark have useful medicinal properties. The heart wood of Pterocarpus marsupium is astringent, bitter, acrid, antiinflammatory, anthelmintic and anodyne. It is used for the treatment of elephantiasis, leucoderma, diarrhoea, dysentery, rectalgia, cough and greyness of hair.
Bala – Sida cordifolia - is used to treat asthma, tuberculosis, the common cold, flu, headaches, nasal congestion, cough and wheezing, urinary tract infections, sore mouth, and fluid retention (edema).
Amruta – Tinospora cordifolia - has an importance in traditional ayurvedic medicine used for ages in the treatment of fever, jaundice, chronic diarrhea, cancer, dysentery, bone fracture, pain, asthuma, skin disease, poisonous insect, snake bite, eye disorders.
Nagara – Ginger – Zingiber officinalis - is one of the most widely used natural products consumed as a spice and medicine for treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.
Haritaki -Terminalia chebula - is a magical remedy that holds high significance in treating countless health problems including indigestion, gastritis, lung disease, obesity, impotence, cough, cold, asthma, vision defects, urinary tract infections and hair, and skin problems.
Bibhitaki -Terminalia bellirica - is used to protect the liver and to treat respiratory conditions, including respiratory tract infections, cough, and sore ;
Amla - Emblica officinais - as antioxidant, immune modulatory, antipyretic, analgesic, cytoprotective, anti ulser, immune modulatory, anti inflammatory, antitussive and gastroprotective
Cow Milk - Strengthens bones and muscles. Due to the presence of ample amount of calcium, cow milk is highly associated with the development and maintenance of bone and muscle.
Tila Thaila - Sesamum indicum - is mildly laxative, emollient and demulcent. The seeds and fresh leaves may be used as a poultice. Th e antibacterial activity of seeds against Staphylococcus and Streptococcus as well as common skin fungi, such as athlete's foot fungus has also been well recognized.
