KHADIRARISHTA;
Khadirarishta ingredients have all the above medicinal properties. According to Ayurveda, it generally works in diseases that occur due to dominance of VATA, KAPHA or AMA conditions. It reduces AMA by digesting it and eliminating it. It also stops the production of the toxins and their accumulation in the intestines. Hence, it reduces toxins absorption into the blood. Through this mechanism, it prevents diseases, which occur due to toxins absorption into the blood. The second mechanism is that it directly works on the blood, detoxifies it, digests AMA present in the blood, and helps kidneys to excrete toxins. The third main action is its antipruritic property, which might be due to the antihistamine action of some ingredients present in it.
ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;
Khadira (Acacia catechu) - is used to treat sore throats and diarrhoea, also useful in high blood pressure, dysentery, colitis, gastric problems, bronchial asthma, cough, leucorrhoea and leprosy. It is used as a mouthwash for mouth, gum, sore throat, gingivitis, dental and oral infections.
Bakuchi (Psoralia corylifolia) - has been used for centuries in leukoderma, psoriasis, vitiligo, asthma, ulcers, kidney disorders, and as an aphrodisiac and an anti-inflammatory. It is reported to contain essential oil, coumarins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and terpenoids.
Daruharidra (Berberis aristata) - is used in ayurvedic medicines for a very long time. It is used as a tonic, alternative, demulcent, diaphoretic, and diuretic, in the treatment of diarrhoea, jaundice and skin diseases, syphilis, chronic rheumatism and urinary disorders.
Triphala - contains powerful anti-inflammatory compounds that may help protect against certain cancers and other chronic diseases. Studies have shown that it may help treat constipation, resolve dental issues and promote weight loss.
Dalchini (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) - astringent, warming stimulant, carminative, blood purifier, digestive, antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties and also help to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
