LAVANGATHI MATHIRAI;
Lavangathi Mathirai is a traditional medicine in Siddha system of medicine reffered by Siddha Vaidhiya Thirattu.
ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;
Syzygium aromaticum used for centuries in the treatment of vomiting; flatulence; nausea; liver, bowel and stomach disorders; and as a stimulant for the nerves. In tropical Asia, cloves have been documented to relieve different microorganisms as scabies, cholera, malaria, and tuberculosis.
Venkaram commonly known as Borax which is widely used in Siddha System of Medicines for treatment of Skin diseases, Uterine disorders, Gastric ulcer, Dental disease, Urinary tract infections, External washes for oral ulcer, Eye disease and Burning micturition etc.
Lingam - Mercuric sulphide - is used as a diuretic, antiseptic, skin ointment, vitiligo, laxative, and is applied externally for teething discomfort in children, contains mercury chloride.
Rasa Karpooram - camphor to the skin to relieve pain and reduce itching. It has also been used to treat toenail fungus, warts, insect bites, cold sores, hemorrhoids, and osteoarthritis.
Croton tiglium - seeds to treat gallbladder problems, colic, blocked intestines, and malaria. Croton seeds are sometimes applied directly to the skin for muscle and joint pain (rheumatism), gout, nerve pain (neuralgia), and bronchitis.
Citrus aurantifolia - is widely used because of its antibacterial, anticancer, antidiabetic, antifungal, anti-hypertensive, anti-inflammation, anti-lipidemia, and antioxidant properties; moreover, it can protect heart, liver, bone, and prevent urinary diseases.
