ROLE OF INGREDIENTS
Chakramarda (Cassia Tora) - acrid, laxative , antiperiodic, anthelmintic, ophthalmic, liver tonic, cardiotonic and expectorant. The leaves and seeds are useful in leprosy, ringworm, flatulence, colic, dyspepsia, constipation, cough, bronchitis, cardiac disorders.
Krishna Marich (Piper Nigrum) - has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anticonvulsant, and neuroprotective ;
Dhamasa (Fagonia Arabica) - is known to purify blood and also acts as a deobstruent (22). It is also used for skin diseases, small pox and for endothermic reaction in the body (23). The twigs of the plant are used as remedy for snake bite and also applied externally as paste on tumours and for the swellings of neck.
Haldi (Curcuma Longa) - is used as a traditional medicine and remedy for various diseases including a coughs, diabetes, dermatological conditions, respiratory problems, cardiovascular and hepatobiliary diseases, arthritis, irritable bowel disease (IBS), peptic ulcers, psoriasis, and atherosclerosis.
Khas (Vetiveria Zizanioides) - is widely used as cooling agent, tonic and blood purifier. It is used to treat many skin disorders and is known to have calming effect on the nervous system
Kirtamala (Cassia Fistula) - used by Ayurveda in India in the treatment of inflammatory swellings and as a cleaning agent for ulcers and wounds. It is believed to decrease purulent discharge and act as a local antiseptic. The fruits are also used as a laxative.
Majitha (Rubia Cordifolia) - is evidenced by traditional and reported activities which show that it act as potent blood purifier, antioxidant, diuretic, calcium channel blocker, antiplatelet, antidiabetic, antiinflammatory, antistress, immunomodulator etc.
Neem (Azadirachta Indica) - is used for leprosy, eye disorders, bloody nose, intestinal worms, stomach upset, loss of appetite, skin ulcers, diseases of the heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular disease), fever, diabetes, gum disease (gingivitis), and liver problems. The leaf is also used for birth control and to cause abortions.
Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum) - is also known as Holy Basil or Tulsi, and belongs to the family of Lamiaceae. This plant is well known for its medicinal and spiritual properties in Ayurveda which includes aiding cough, asthma, diarrhea, fever, dysentery, arthritis, eye diseases, indigestion, gastric ailments, etc.
Vasaka (Adhatoda Vasica) - is useful in treating bronchitis, tuberculosis and other lung and bronchiole disorders. A decoction of the leaves of Vasaka may be used to help with cough and other symptoms of colds. The soothing action helps irritation in the throat and the expectorant will help loosen phlegm deposits in the airway.
Sadafal and Dalchini Oil - are thought to reduce spasms, reduce gas (flatulence), and stimulate the appetite. Cinnamon might also increase blood flow.
Lavanga Oil - help ease nausea and treat colds. They may also help relieve the pain associated with headaches, arthritic inflammation, and toothaches. Cloves can also be used as part of a topical pain reliever
Karanja Oil - is widely used in skin disorders like boils, abscess, and Mass. Karanja or its oil helps to control swelling and inflammation of pile mass when applied externally.
Brihatmarichyadi Oil - is a medicated oil used topically on skin diseases. It has antiseptic and antifungal ; is a medicated oil, which can be used to treat skin diseases such as Scabies, Psoriasis, Acne, Ulcers, Septic Wounds.
