PATOLAMOOLADI KASHAYAM;
Patolamooladi Kashaya is a formula that bestows mild laxation while simultaneously enhancing liver health and performance. Liver is the seat of metabolism. Efficient hepatic function is the key to robust health and metabolism.
ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) - Popularly known as Indian walnut for its innumerable benefits or Indian hog plum in English, it is extremely valuable for its role in improving hair health. It is useful for treating scalp infections like dandruff, itching, and hair fall. It also strengthens them from the roots, prevents breakage and loss of hair, and bestows silky soft smooth hair.
Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) - Commonly known as the Indian gooseberry is high in vitamin C and natural antioxidants known as flavonoids and polyphenols. When used for hair treatments, it is found to strengthen and condition follicles down to the roots. Amla oil can promote hair growth, reduce dandruff, and prevent the graying of hair.
Vibhithaki (Terminalia bellerica) - Known as beach almonds or Bedda nut tree It is rich in Vitamin C, and other antioxidants that nourish the hair roots. Bibhitaki helps in making the roots of the hair stronger, minimizing hair fall, and preventing premature graying of hair strands.
Patola (Trichosanthes dioica) - Acharya Charaka has mentioned Patola as one of the herbs used in powder massage, useful in pruritis, acne ad urticaria. Leaves and fruits of Patola s used in the treatment of alcoholism and jaundice. Soup of Patola fruit is also advisable in alcoholism. The Patola leaves juice is used in alopesia and liver enlargement. Regular eating of Patola vegetable helps to lose weight, increases the immune power, and also provide relief from abdominal diseases. Patola root is sukha virechaka-causes mild purgation.
Shunti (Zingiber officinale) - called vishwa bheshaja, it has a number of pharmacological activities. Neuroprotective activity and activity against colon cancer have facilitated further research for finding out less toxic and more potent drugs for the better treatment of related diseases. Ginger is extensively used around the world in foods as a spice. Ginger has beenused for cold-induced disease, nausea, asthma, cough, colic, heart palpitation, swellings, dyspepsia, loss of appetite, dyspnoea, vomiting, gastritis, thirst, postpartum disorders, and rheumatism. It is a carminative & antipyretic and is used to treat bronchitis, gastrointestinal disorders, and piles.
Brahmi (Bacoppa monneri) - helps calm the mind, promote clarity of thought, and memory consolidation. It has established action in modulating brain activity.
Vishala (Citrullus colocynthis) - has been reported to possess a wide range of traditional medicinal uses including in diabetes, leprosy, common cold, cough, asthma, bronchitis, jaundice, joint pain, cancer, toothache, wound, mastitis, and in gastrointestinal disorders such as indigestion, constipation, dysentery, gastroenteritis
Trayamana (Gentiana kurroo) - is used in stomach-ache and in urinary infections, the root with ginger root powder is also used for curing high fevers. The roots were also used as bitter tonic, and as an antiperiodic, expectorant, astringent, stomachic, anti-inflammatory, antipsychotic, sedative, anthelmintic and antibacterial.
Katurohini (Picrorhiza kurroa) - is a well-known herb in the Ayurvedic system of medicine and has traditionally been used to treat disorders of the liver and upper respiratory tract, reduce fevers, and to treat dyspepsia, chronic diarrhea, and scorpion sting.

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;
Adult: Take 15-20 ml mixed with 45-60 ml of boiled and cooled water, twice daily on an empty stomach.
Child: Take 10-15 ml mixed with 30-45 ml of boiled and cooled water, twice daily on an empty stomach.
Suitable for all ages in physician recommended doses.
It is should be taken along with half a spoon of honey.
